ONE Antenna - 2 Radios - BUT I want to Monitor Both "ALL the time".
OK, here we go...
I'm running a Dual Band VHF/UHF Diamond with one LMR-400 Cable run into the Shack.
Radio 1 - Yaesu FTM-200DR VHF/UHF (It has a built-in Antenna Switch VHF/UHF) and I want to Monitor it "ALL The Time". This is set up for local Ham Repeaters and Aviation Receive.
Radio 2 - Motorola XPR5550e UHF 403-470 DMR Repeaters and I want to Monitor it "ALL The Time".
Transmitting will be minimal on both radios.
Yes I know an A/B Switch works for selecting the radio I'm transmitting on but I want to Monitor both "ALL the time".
How can I reliably receive on both "ALL the time" and selectively transmit?
Thanks
Jim

The only way you can run both on one antenna is to get a VHF/UHF diplexer and only use the FTM-200DR on VHF. The diplexer will feed only UHF signals to the Motorola and only VHF signals to the Yaesu protecting them and allowing the single band to be used on each radio. Otherwise you will need two separate antennas.
