One antenna, multiple scanners

Is it possible to use one antenna to "supply" multiple scanners? If so, which would be the best for doing so AND have optimum reception on multiple bands? Also, what would be the maximum number of scanners that can go to one antenna?

I have a GRE600 and BCT-8 hooked up to one antennea--works fine for me.
