Renfrew is a small town in the Ottawa Valley. This really is one of those incidents of this doesn't happen around here. This town is not known for shootings. But then again, things can happen anywhere at anytime so nothing should really come as a surprise. There have been some interesting events happen in Renfrew County over the years.

I missed this one on the radio last night. Fell asleep a bit earlier even with the radio on right beside me. Sorry first night off of night shift. :p

Vimy Boulevard resident Brandon Fortin was listening to the scanner on Friday night and said he heard the call come in.
Gunshots were mentioned and he heard “vital signs absent” in subsequent dispatches, he said, noting the time was around 10 p.m.
“Then cops started showing up,” he said.
After speaking to people outside the home, Fortin said police “proceeded to go inside with their weapons drawn.”
