I've had my BCD436HP for six months and really like it. I found the Sentinel software a bit tricky at first but quickly got used to it thanks to good youtube videos. The problem I'm having is that from Sentinel I added, Database/ USA/ California/ Marin/ County Systems/ Marin Emergency Radio Authority (MERA) to my Favorites List that I've been using all along and when I transfer it to my scanner that one entry or System doesn't make it to my scanner but everything else shows up just fine. Its right there on my computer but not on the scanner. My quick keys are set fine, Monitor and Download are set to On, Firmware and Database are updated, Service types are set as is Custom 1, I've checked and re checked many times, read through forums, all that. The one thing that is different about this system is that its a Motorola system, I'm not sure if thats making a difference or not. I Appended over the entire MERA list so nothing would be missed, all the departments and sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated for this first time forum user.

Go to Your Sentinal, go to edit, then edit profile, see if the system is on your favorite list is marked on for download.

Eng74, Thank you for getting back to me. Yes it is marked on for download and marked on for monitor. The rest of my Marin Fire folder is making it to the scanner and working fine, that "Folder" is made up of Marin, Cal Fire and Marin Emergency Radio Authority or (MERA) for short. MERA is the only part that does not even show up on the scanner but is on the computer right there in the list of favorites and part of Marin Fire. I would kind of let it go but my two stores are in Marin and my wifes two brothers work for Marin County Fire, John drives the transport and operates the Cat D6T and Pat is a station captain.

Also, check to be sure that the service type(s) assigned to the channels in that system are turned on.

Alright guys, problem was that when I clicked "Write to Scanner" I was confused when the little window pops up and says "Different on Unit!" I was clicking "Skip" because I wrongly thought that the other choices "Copy & Replace on Scanner" or "Copy with New Name" would overwrite settings on my scanner that I didn't want changed. I'm still not sure what one is best but I've been using "Copy & Replace on Scanner". Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated. I am so pleased with this scanner, its been great to keep track of fire season here in Nothern California, great tool, its just taking a bit to learn it.
