I have an SDS200 with the DMR upgrade. Does anyone know if this sysytem is monitorable? I mean is there encryption or are there any issues with monitoring it?

Here's a tip for you. Have a look at the "Mode" column per talkgroup table. Anywhere you see mode "TE" is a fully encrypted talkgroup (only two identified in the DB, more unknowns may exist) For the most part the system is "in the clear" (mode "T")

Hover your mouse cursor over the "Mode" column heading and you'll see the following:

Yes you can monitor it. Put the LCNs as 0 or search. That's how I make mine work on my SDS100

It’s my impression there are only two characters that will show in the Mode column for encryption… an upper case “E” and a lower case “e”. Uppercase denotes full time encryption and lowercase denotes part time encryption, hovering over the mode column and click on it… it will give an explanation of this. Other letters you see in the mode column will also be identified.

Thank you. This is the type of info I was looking for. I appreciate the tip.
No problem. More than likely you’ll be hitting site 26 since it seems to be the most powerful even when m I’m closer to other sites. If you need help dm me and I’ll help how I can

Yes exactly. Here is what pops up when you look at Mode… unless I’m missing your meaning? Please explain.

Mode defines the type of transmission broadcast on this talkgroup. Analog transmissions are standard voice, Digital and TDMA transmissions are digitally modulated.
A = Analog Talkgroup
D = Digital Talkgroup
M = Mixed Analog/Digital
T = TDMA Capable Talkgroup
--
A trailing lowercase e represents partial encryption. A trailing uppercase E represents full encryption.

One Voice is Connect Plus which works fine with the Uniden DMR capable scanners. You can program it as it is in the database, LCNs and all.

D is FDMA digital T is TDMA digital.
If the TG is mixed FDMA/TDMA , it will always be listed as TDMA.

And correct on Encryption.

One Voice is DMR, which is always TDMA.

Manny to answer your original question, yes, it is very monitorable for now. Because it is Connect Plus, it will eventually be changed to another flavor, such as Capacity Max. CapMax isn't trunk trackable. They could go to a DMR TierIII system, which, except for Hyteria, is also able to be monitored.

yes, I am not blind. I just wanted a heads up BEFORE I get started programming in case there are any issues I need to know.

Systems that can't be monitored with a scanner usually say so in the system notes on the entities page in the Radioreference database. Not sure what software you use to program the 200 but Sentinel does not display systems that are not monitorable.
