There is a signal (control channel sound?) on 151.010. I manually added these frequencies to my Uniden 536, but have no clue if I did it correctly. Are there any software packages available for RTL SDRs that can decode P25 Phase II?

That's the Sheriff's Ops channel ,I believe. Heard them on it today. Not hearing any other sounds.

155.0100 is the sheriff's ops channel. 151.0100 is one of the new trunked frequencies Oneida Co. has licensed.

Its possible they are installing the racks and doing some preliminary testing of the prime site. I looked for it earlier today and I didn't see any signal.

How did you know which Talk Group ID to choose? The system has been up and down, so it is hard to spot activity.

Sorry, I only pay close attention to Windows developers. I was not aware of the Linux solution.

Look, I have already reported one personal attack post. I don't get this need to tear down experts. My knowledge might be incomplete in some areas, but there is nobody anywhere on RR who knows everything.

I don't usually mention this myself (although others have pointed it out) but a very large fraction of the upstate NY info in the DB and the Wiki came from me and my old website. I have field experience in public safety and personal communications. I have been an EMT, a security supervisor, and a volunteer firefighter. I do usually know what I'm talking about and I find the mean-spirited comments irritating.

I think the old expression might apply here: You have no idea who you are dealing with.

Another pertinent old expression: If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything.

Studgeman - that looks very similar to my screen! It took me some time to get this application working properly, but it works well with NBFM and Phase I signals. Now the program feels intuitive and is easy to add other systems.

Just wondering... When the system becomes active, do you think SDRTrunk will show the active voice channels, but not decode them because they are TDMA? The program obviously recognizes the control channel, but I am not sure what it will decode (if any) of the voice channels.

It will be a phase 1 control channel. You will almost never see a phase 2 control channel (not sure standard is complete) because it breaks interoperability. SRDTrunk should show the voice channels as active because that is assigned in the control channel stream, and it should be able to decode the RF modulation. it will be interesting to see if it can decode the AMBE half-rate vocoder. It is very similar to the full rate AMBE.

The "go live" date is always a little bit fuzzy till the coverage testing is done and the radio are fully programmed. I know they were aiming for before Thanksgiving, United Radio is the MSS doing the integration. At this point its sooner than later. Motorola will be trying to get this project buttoned up and signed off on before the end of the year so they can record their revenue.
