MECA is testing the new system 2 right now rotating the new CC and testing them in TRUE P 25 Mode if any one wants to listen and tune it in on other CC and run UniTrunker on it

Not sure I'm understanding here, are you saying we should be hearing test talkgroups or actual voice communications? or are you just saying they've got the CC's lit up and using UniTrunker you can see them testing "data" and not voice?

They where testing the CC and rotating between them and there was some tones for a short time now just up and running no voice or tones now this morning.

Voice test right now on on new sys 2 ID 1000 and 10012 tech saying testing 12 test testing

How is the audio quality? Are you set up in Apco 25 setting or Motorola type 2

It is not to bad but keep in mind right now it is only 1 tower on the south side and low power and they are testing settings so some times it is not clear but most of it is.
This is for SYS 2 True P 25 9600 reg mot type 2 p25 wont work it is not like safe t but True P 25

Sorry On system select moto type 2 p25
then on site select P25

normal like on safe t the site would be stanard type 2 800 meg but for true p25 select P25

If you are using Butel it shows under APCO 25 if by hand on scanner it shows P25

You didn't say which software, but UASD
use: MOT TYPE 2/P25 — Motorola Type II and APCO 25 systems

And then under Site settings, select P25.

Ok dont change the threshold leave it for now
Under System select moto type 2 p25
then when you go to enter the site info select APCO P25
then under the site freqs put in
856.1625
856.5125
857.6625
858.1875
In the system folder select ID SEARCh or you can do this by the front of the scanner to get the IDs

Just leave threshold where it is, should be 8, and if you are receiving groups and voice, you are on the right track. Enjoy. And I would ignore the setting for a while, as they will be testing and doing strange things as they check building coverage, grid test, and reception microvolts.
