Is there any sort of way to remote control my BCD996XT scanner remotely online?

My ProScan has two methods with pros and cons to each.
Remote Scanner Over IP
Pro: Logging, recording, download / upload database.
Con: Requires ProScan on the remote side that will use up an activation(two activation permitted per license)
Web Server
Pro: Remote control using a web browser on any browser and any platform(not fully tested, chrome works best). I've had a report of Apple Safari showing a virtual scanner alignment problem.
Con: No logging, recording, and download / upload database.
