Ontario Bell Fleetnet TRS Zone 1 down

The London OPP ComCentre and MNR just made an announcement to all units that the system will be down until 01:00 or 01:30 hours, for system maintenance and upgrades. All units are to switch to "Sim 11" for the duration. I wonder what they are doing?

It was probably something to do with the zone controller as the sites remained up but in Site Trunking mode.

I am hearing all kinds of interesting traffic down off the Essex and Windsor sites. BMR techs are working on the system right now and doing testing on some new talkgroups:


Digital:

3632 and 3648 were called "Dynamic Regroup" and they did a test between the MTO and OPP to see how well they could communicate on 3648. Then on 3632 there was a test between three OPP units: one located in Aurora, Essex, Sarnia, on a private regroup.

10438 was a car-to-car test between two OPP units off the Essex tower.
12003 was a patch test to MTO talkgroup 3808
11344 currently, being used between London ComCentre and OPP Command officer "Office 4" talkgroup? She asked a unit on 8256 to switch to "Office 4" and they showed up on 11344.
