Ontario Mobile Listening

I travel throughout the province as well quite often. I have all the NOR system towers still in for some areas that I travel.

Often I will go into southern ontario. I do not have a digital scanner at all. But only a basic 100 ch. mobile pro-2046.

I hear that the vr repeaters do help to hear the OPP along the way. But I hear that there are other repeaters that give off some good distance on places as well. But are only in certain locations.

What locations are these?

And I forget the name of this repeater.

The repeaters are VR 01,VR 02,VR 03. I've also seen mentioned in the
past that 412.8875 is in use in Southwestern Ontario.
Maybe a resident in that region can confirm this.

Not sure of any other wide coverage rptrs that you have heard about.

What is a Beat? 413.53750 R 107.2 BEAT Beat Repeater FMN and do you need this Pl bit on also?

How far does 412.8875 cover?

There's been reports that 412.8875 is used in the Windsor area. It's also used in Wasaga Beach as their BEAT repeater. I suspect that Wasaga uses the alternate BEAT due to their proximity to Collingwood which already has a BEAT repeater on 413.5375.

412.8875 and 413.5375 don't cover very far. They generally cover the area that the officers would do foot patrols in.

You'll find 413.5375 to be the more common frequency.

Southern Ont OPP Repeater Freqs.

I'm from the Windsor area and can clearly hear the OPP from Windsor to Comber on the repeater freq. 412.8875. Once I'm east of Comber I monitor and have heard traffic on 410.8625 which seems to cover most of Kent County.

I thought for sure these would be listed in the database under there locations but I noticed they weren't there. How come?

I guess it does not matter though. They are province wide so they'll work anywhere eh.

All these Frequency do get somewhat busy.

OPP Repeater: 410.8625 Seems to work in Bruce-Grey Area.

For APCO25 Freq: 142.3350
Works in Clifford, Mildmay, Walkerton, Hanover.

For APCO25 Freq: 141.4350
Works In Harriston, Arthur, Fergus. Hwy6, Hwy 109.

Conv. Freq: 142.6350

Kincardine Fire Frequencies:

St. John Ambulance: 158.5350
