I have the operating system installed OP 25 installed as far as I know. I guess I just can't figure out how to configure it or open it. I guess this is how my parents felt trying to operate the VCR

Have you configured your trunk.tsv file yet? What system are you going to be monitoring?

That's where I'm stuck well that and what I said above. I want to monitor "Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System (KSICS)"
Link: https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=4390

I'd like to monitor the following counties:
Ford, Hodgeman, Clark, Gray

Ford County is Phase 2 the rest I believe are phase 1

depending on the difficulty I may want to add more counties later..

So how do I go about setting up "rx.py command line options" trunk.tsv etc. I've thought about trying to play around and see if I could figure it out but at the risk of losing something or worse screwing it up, I think I'll leave it alone till someone who knows better can advise me.

Do you know which site and/or control channel frequency you are trying to receive? Looking at the link posted above there are a bunch of them and I have no idea which one is closest or provides the best signal.

Also is it possible to have op25 run automatically when the pi is powered on?

Put these three files in your ~/op25/op25/gr-op25_repeater/apps directory and use the command ./op25.sh to start op25.

You may need to adjust PPM correction and Tuning.
Once you examine the files I made you can do your own edits to get the Ashland, Jetmore & Ingalls sites.

Sorry about the crappy quality of the image. From what I understand of it I can't edit or add any files to any of the OP25 directories

What is it your trying to do? Looks like moving the tsv boatbod made you? If so, what are you typing or how are you trying to move? Did you try sudo?

On my one of my Ubuntu installs (14.04), I had a ton of issues with permissions. I installed Nautilus file browser, changed permissions on the folder I was having permission denied with, (think it was trunk recorder) , and then it let me move what I needed to move. Someone with more knowledge should chime in.

Not sure where to start here...much to explain.
Copying and moving files is best done from a terminal at the command line so you can see what's wrong. You're going to need command line anyway to run the app so you might as well spend a little time figuring out the basics.

Let's check the permissions on the files in the op25 directory.
Code:
cd ~/op25/op25/gr-op25_repeater/apps
ls -al
