Is there a way to pass a variable to ProScan when it launches to open a specific com port? I have 2 scanners connected, and when I open a second instance, I have to set a different com port, and I was wondering if I can create a second shortcut with something like this in the target:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\ProScan\ProScan.exe" -com 4

Negative. No need to.

ProScan will load using the the same comm. port that it was using when ProScan closed.
Is the other instance in a seperate folder?

I bet the OP is not running 2 separate copies of PROSCAN they are running the same copy.
INSTALL A SECOND COPY AND FORCE IT TO BE IN A DIFFERENT FOLDER.
I know it works I am 16 copies all in different folders connected to 16 different Uniden Scanners.
