Is there anyway to open band the receiver in the PRO-197?

I ask because, I am active in Navy MARS. I would like to monitor a net frequency for activity before running for the Shack.

Our nets are on frequencies outside the normal Ham Bands and the PRO-197 jumps to the edge of the closest Ham Band when I attempt enter a MARS frequency using TUNE.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The 197 should cover ALL the MARS frequencies in VHF and UHF. This is one of the fewest all band full coverage radio. To mank sure you can mentin the frequencies needed and I can check for you.

Enter the frequency and it will take it! No worries there. ;)

Don't use the ham band search function. Use the frequency search ranges.
Or directly program the frequency if it's known.
