Date: Thursday, June 30 – 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
In an effort to save lives and prevent injuries the Middle Georgia Traffic Enforcement Network is embarking on a brief detail dubbed, ”Operation I-75 Slow Down.”
Captain Roger Hayes of the Middle Georgia Traffic Enforcement Network will conduct a press conference at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday morning on the Russell Parkway Bridge over I-75. Georgia Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) Director Harris Blackwood will attend and speak, in addition to other local officials.
In addition to covering I-75, the combined force will also monitor I-475 from the Bibb/Monroe County line south to I-75.
Please work with these law enforcement officials to encourage drivers to slow down in preparation for the July 4 holiday weekend.
