hi bob it a good receiver. but if your in a large area like nyc it does not have ctcss which you definelly need in nyc. great cw pick up. the problem when i had one is my pd freqs are in 476 mhz alot of images could not tune it excellent ssb picked up alot of cbers on ssb. ps dont forget bob i sold you the yupi 7000.

The MVT-7100 was a superb little receivers in it's time. The MVT-7100 scans @ 30 channels a second, and with 1000 channels. Not too mention the continuous coverage from 530khz - 1650MHz, AM/NFM/WFM/USB/LSB The sensitivity for this receiver was really great, especially the shortwave broadcast reception. I remember hearing Russia, China, Spain, as well as others. I shoulda kept mine WWWEEPPIINN!!
