Anyone used one of these? Any opinions?

Tried the AM/FM antenna spiltter deal, terrible for both low band 33mhz (our current fire band) and the AM/FM station reception. Currently on my explorer I have an Ant. Specialist transmit antenna on the left and I have an Ant. Specialist low band on the driver side for my scanner but it keeps colliding with my AM/FM antenna at higher speeds. I am looking for a fender mount (not wind whipped coil) like this scannerworld jobbie.

Any input on this antenna or another suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Chad.

That antenna is basically just a 1/4 wave fiberglass whip and really won't do well on low band no matter what the specs say. Assuming I know the AS antenna you have, it's one of the best for low band. I'd replace your AM/FM antenna with one of the small rubber models and keep the AS scanner antenna you have now.
