Opinions Wanted: GE/Ericsson/MA-COMM 600P

I'm looking into purchasing a new (but discontinued) GE/Ericsson/MA-COMM 600P.

Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with this type of radio?

They are good little radios.... You can use the channel knob for the first 16 channels and then either punch in or scroll thru the remaining. Wide band TX -RX , narrowband capable etc. decent display, audio, etc... Pretty durable units. One thing to be aware of , in scan you must actually designate a channel slot for the scan, sort of like a GP300. What price range are they giving you and what band... ???

New in box, $247 plus shipping. It included the antenna, charger and battery. I'm trying to find out about programming. The cable and software is available for an extra $170.

Good price and unless you have a local shop or access, it may be worth buying the cable and software.

Unfortunately, i'm going to have to pass on this deal. My wife and I are going to be moving soon, and need the extra money.
