Hey everyone,

I have a couple scanners that are programmed with OPP HSD, currently listening to OPS 41, I have noticed OPP isn't coming through anymore. I still receive MTO and MOH which both run off of the same system. Has something changed that I haven't noticed? Maybe I'm not programming it correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They're probably running a patch and you don't have the scanners programmed for that?

I have them currently coming through on MTOE TG's and 1OPS42.

I have noticed that the OPP seems to be awful quiet lately. I am in Barrie so I get the surrounding areas and I still get them, it's seems random they come in. I was picking up Sim 11 today.

OPP likes to patch TGs together. The patches often rotate from one TG to another. I have found that with the Uniden's they may act weird on patches. For example TG 1 is patched with TG2 and TG3. You are scanning TG1 and hear all the patches.

If you change to TG2 you may only hear TG2. The same if you change to TG3. This is because of how the Uniden's decode the patched TG packet in the P25 stream. The solution is to just enter in all the TGs as separate items in your scan list. Then it won't matter if they are patched or not.

OPS41 is Mississauga and its patched with Cambridge 99% of the time but on occasions either Mississauga or Cambridge is patched with Burlington or the Niagara talkgroups, or maybe with the Toronto / Whitby patch.

I'm guessing you have an older scanner and what tower are you monitoring?

Tonight I wasn't really paying attention but as I'm typing this the Toronto talkgroup is being patched with the Aurora tg.

So, you're all correct. It dawned on me tonight that all of the Cambridge units are India units now, they have most likely moved TG's. I've reprogrammed and I am scanning all HSD groups in hopes of finding them. Thank you for the replies and I will post my results
