It's interesting how one provincial gov't agency cannot get a hold of another provincial agency.
Highway's were bad tonite and there was a few accident's around. OPP had to PHONE MTO and leave a message to go out and get roads in better shape. They were real icey.
Why can't they just switch over to another channel or even radio system to contact each other by radio? Isn't that the whole point of interoperabilities between these agencies?
When MTO finally switch over to the new radio system. Will this cut out the middle man (calling the office) and help them communicate by radio instantly? Instead of having to relay messages.
I've listened to call's before right from the initial call. And I find it odd how information once passed along seems to get misconfused by the time it reaches all agencies that are involved. Whether it is OPP, Police, Ambulance or Highway depts.
