OPP on MTO Enforcement Talkgroups?

Does OPP ever use MTO Talkgroups? I had my 796 in Search Monday afternoon and it locked onto ID 4064 with chatter regarding a white grand prix several units were searching the 401 for. Then what sounded like an OPP officer was asking his "Sarge" if he should head to the registered residence of the vehicle since it was near by.

Just wondering if they ever use MTO Enforcement Talkgroups, it just didnt sound like MTO at all, it sounded like it was a regular OPP Talkgroup

The OPP don't have access to the MTO Enforcement talkgroups. However, the PCC often patches OPP and MTO talkgroups together, so this is likely what you heard.

As Mike said you often hear the OPP's area talkgroup patched with the MTO Enforcement T/G's especially 1Sierra Caledon and especially during the evening's and over night periods and frequently on holiday weekends.


It is very easy to tell the difference between the two: MTO Enfrcmt use Soft ID's such as Tango 2546
The OPP unitsyou are hearing will use 5 Tango, or 5whiskey or 1Sierra.
