Optoscan OS456

I've got an Optoscan OS456 installed in a pro-2006. For some reason, PL tones have ceased to be read by the vintage Scanstar software I'm using.

The software picks up frequencies without a tone just fine. If a tone is programmed, I can see that the PL is being checked but is apparently not being matched. If I remove the PL from the programmed frequency it then picks it up. I've double-checked the tones (which still work in other radios), but its like the tones just aren't coming across.

Any ideas to what may have recently gone awry?

Ya might have a componet that failed. Have you visually inspected the board for damage yet?
