Since Orange County 911 recently lost radio capability several times over the last two days, I decided to start a post of what tower sites 911 transmits to/from and how. Please post additions/corrections and updates as the information in the FCC ULS shows numerous sites licensed but I believe they have not yet been implemented:

Add the following to your list:

FIRE
Orange 911 Fire Paging (154.205 PL 123.0)
Heater Hill (replaced Sparrowbush)

Orange 911 Fire Low-band Response (46.160 PL 123.0)
Heater Hill

Orange 911 Fire Low-Band Secondary (45.780 PL 94.8)
Graham

EMS
Orange 911 EMS Paging (157.450 PL 136.5)
Heater Hill
Putnam

POLICE
Orange 911 Police Primary *Priority* (159.135R PL 118.8)
Heater Hill

- Sparrowbush was replaced by Heater Hill for Fire Paging on 154.205

- Graham is the only site that has capability on 45.780

- 159.135 is now known as "Priority" instead of Polling

Did 911 ever put anything up on EMS Primary T/A 155.280 PL 100.0 o secondary T/A 155.220 PL 151.4 from any of the sites? They also used to have local capability on 340 and 400 also. What about State MCI/Disaster 155.715? I heard the MCC on it at Stewart for a drill.

Besides the 800 talkgroups, what else to they have transmit capability on besides Statewide MRD 155.370? Any VTACS? UTACs?

I believe they have transmit capability on 46.40 for LZ Ops, probably local Goshen only. I'm going by memory here, but I believe I have heard OC911 on that frequency. Unsure about the other frequencies.

I don't listen to EMS much, so I can't say for certain.

I have heard testing on 851.0125 (8CALL90) with a 156.7 PL which sounded like it was coming off Graham. I haven't been able to verify with certainty that it was OC911, though.

I know that OC911 has a "failsafe" mode for 800 on the police side. Does anyone know what frequency or talkgroup that is ?

I'm not too sure of specifics on how it is set up

Add Schunnemunk to the list for fire paging (154.205). The local Low Band base at 911 can transmit on 46.40, 45.88 and 46.16. As far as EMS goes, they can talk on 155.220, 155.280, 155.340, 155.400 and 155.715 off the local tower at 911. They also have the ability to talk on VCALL10, UCALL40 and 8CALL90. Not sure if there are any repeaters up yet on these yet. I have heard the one on 8CALL90 but I can't confirm it's Orange County's

I just listened to the handful of clips of 8CALL90 I had from the past few months, and it was definitely a repeater in operation. The only transmission I caught was "611 to Base 6", everything else was just the repeater keying up. I assumed it was coming off Graham based on the relative signal strength as compared to the EDACS site up there, as well as the fact that Graham is the only site they have the 8CALL/8TAC frequencies licensed at under WPGP264.

Based upon that transmission and the area, sounds like Town of Fishkill Base6

I believe 911 can also page on the local tower.I think you can also use the local tower for EMS response...or at least my radio has the local tower programmed in it..

Can anyone confirm this?

911 can page EMS off the local tower and there is a EMS response repeater located at the 911 center.

Thank you sir. I thought there was an EMS Response repeater at the center. Chauffeur6, that PL I sent you via PM is confirmed for that. Now I have to reprogram our Rigs again. Even though we will probably never use it, better to have it then not just in case.
