Maybe its just me but has anyone else noticed the considerable difference in transmit volume on 154.205 off the Goshen tower at the 911 center? Not that wonderful nycomco has any of the towers at the same level, but listen to Campbell Hall get dispatched (Beacon tower first then the local tower) and it's not even close! It sounds way over modulated or possibly even wideband........ Wouldn't surprise me either way. Don't the techs listen to anything and hear how bad orange county's systems sound?

It's been like that for some time now. I have noticed the difference but thought maybe it was just me,guess not.

It's NYCOMCO, what do you expect?

The Heaters Hill site sounds horrible also...extremely over-modulated and way too hot.

Either Cornwall FD switched towers or I have a bad antenna connection I have to look at. They previously came off Beacon or through Base 4's local tower loud and clear, now they seem a little distant.

Cornwall is now off Beacon and Schunnemunk.

Ok, that makes sense. Apparently, not all the dispatchers are announcing over both towers. I guess the laziness of moving the mouse over one inch on the Orbacom screen is too much to ask ...
