I was scanning thru my dozens of regular channels on my SDS 100 and I picked up activity on the Orange County Sheriff Mutual Aid channel. I held the channel and hit the record button as there seemed to be something interesting going on. Turned out I caught the last few minutes of a chaise of a homicide suspect from Osceola county thru I-4 that ended up in a PIT maneuver in Winter Park. Of course, it ended up in dozens of small wave files on the SDS 100 memory. I transferred it onto my computer and could make a playlist to listen to the entire event using the free VLC audio app. It does not appear I can easily stitch all these smaller wav files together to make a single mp3 or I'd post the audio. Or am I not supposed to post these kind of audios? I imagine eventually all these IDs will go completely encrypted, but for now I still get a lot of the dispatch traffic in Orange and Seminole counties. Lots of license plates, names and (unfortunately) birthdates and even DL numbers from the sloppy ones. I'd never post personal info. The link below is from our local tv station on the chase.
In other news, I heard the technical staff of my local sewage treatment plant discussing the pH of the water in the facility.
