Good morning. I am trying to program my BCD325P2 radio with the Orange County Public Safety trunk frequencies. The north simulcast has ?half kilohertz? frequencies listed. (769.79375 770.61875 771.16875 771.74375 772.18125c 772.43125c 772.69375c 774.46875c) When I try to enter this into the scanner, they come back as dropping the .00005. Will this be a problem? What scanners do you use to listen to the North Simulcast? Thank you for you help.

What you are experiencing when entering the frequencies in the scanner is normal, it wont affect the reception. Now what will affect reception is that the system is Simulcast, the front end on the scanner does not handle simulcast that well and the scanner will suffer from simulcast distortion. Some might come in here and say theirs works fine, and that might be true but it will be hit or miss depending on your location.

Thank you for your feedback. I have let the scanner run with Freescan for 24 hours, and nothing comes through on the north system. The south system comes through, and I do have the simulcast distortion. Not bad, but noticeable. It is strange that even in search mode, I receive absolutely no traffic on the north system.

With EDACS, you could listen to the control channel, and let the scanner just display the transmission data. Can I do that with Project 25 Phase II. Thanks again for your input.
