Has anyone else noticed that the sixth channel 414.88750 is also used by the Kitchener site 1.3 which is the Kitchener site control channel. Are control channels commonly shared on adjacent sites?

In a simulcast system yes they are. The idea is that a radio will capture the strongest signal.

Has the Kitchener site started broadcasting a new neighbour? Until this happens, that site isn't doing anything.
