OR International AirShow 2015

I am wondering if all these freqs (- the tower, ground, ect) would be still good. Going this year and would like to listen to the Blue Angels. I have never listened to Airshow Radio xmissions before & would like to know the freqs to program in to the scanner. I found some freqs that are reported that the Blues use, but I don't know if they use them all the time or what. Any help or info would be appreciated. I am kinda new to this. Thanks!

I am wondering if there are any special freq, besides the typical tower, ground, ect, that I can program into my scanner for the Airshow. Particularly the Blue Angle Freqs since they are arriving in the area later this afternoon. Thanks!

Picking up the airshow announcer broadcasting on 161.700 MHz.

Airshow public safety activity sounds like it is on talkgroup "WASH A" (53520).

Airnav will give you the general use ATC frequencies for HIO, but not the airshow specific frequencies. During the airshow, HIO tower will hand over control of the airspace to the airshow 'air boss' who usually uses a different freq other than tower. Also, most teams have individual freq's for for, action coordination, etc.

If anyone has airshow specific freq's for 2015 it would be greatly appreciated.

Just caught pilot to HIO tower traffic that 120.550 MHz is the Hillsboro Air Boss frequency.

Blue Angels up practicing on 284.250 at the moment... 15:00 hrs. Also, 275.350 and 237.800.

Gentlemen, I've merged several other threads and a few posts concerning the 2015 air show into this one thread.

Hope you have some good listening.

I would encourage using our wiki to keep a permanent record of these areas and talk groups. That way next year, and for following years, common freas and talk groups can be identified. Then all that is needed is to find the new acts or changes in usage
