Orem and Provo new call “Metro”

This is more of a question then information.
I am hearing Provo dispatch on Orem FD & PD talk groups.They are also now using their cities prefix before unit #.
2J / 3J.
Fire is using the normal call. Ex. Rescue 33 , Engine 23. With dispatch call of Metro.

Fire for both cities have been to either “Fire 1” or “Fire 2”

Does anyone have an explanation??
