Side C

I have heard them refer to a chanel called 'C I U'. I think it is just a Talkaround on 156.210, but am never close enough to the units when they 'switch' to confirm

I spoke to one of the dispatchers at Osage CO tonight; all he knew was that the 'C-I-U' side is a car-to-car freq that the deputies use to talkaround the main side. he was unsure what the freq was though.... I will be scanning 151.895 to see if I can pick up anything!

It's not "side C"; they are saying CIU: "Criminal Investigations Unit". Still can't confirm the Frequency though, other than a deputy advised "it's not available to the public".

I'm thinking that the freq is going to the in-put side of the repeater . Yr's ago the deputies would use the input side for a crime scene or at the cavlecade for security . I wouldn't bother a dispacher on this . You need to get a higher up to ask what the freq is . I bet digicom has it since the SO get's there radio's serviced by digicom . those radio's are maxtrac 16 ch so they had the freq programmed in .
