Been picking up coms using contol channel 858.9375 (M36 CT 128.57, SID 3315, 0015) on Pinellas Toytown frequencies, which are also Osceola county frequencies, out here in Pinellas county– I’m assuming this would be from Osceola, but the CT doesn’t match. I’ve never picked up a county that far away before, maybe they have upped their power? Sometimes the scanner switches from Pinellas Toytown to the Osceola control channel – never had this issue before, so wondering if others have noticed it recently.

This morning on 858.9375 control channel:
856.9375 -- TGID 3664, 784 DAT, 3664, 6554, 272, 4880, 1744, 6448,
857.7125 TGID 4192
858.9375 TGID 3664
860.2125 TGID 4880
860.9375 TGID 6554

With the weather conditions this morning, it wouldn't surprise me if it was Osceola.

It's not quite as far as Pinellas to Osceola, but sometimes I get Hernando (without a yagi) down here in Brandon.

Yes, it happens. There must be a band opening which lets signals go further than usual. This is not the first time as it's been a problem that has caused interference on the Pinellas system in the past.

When conditions are right I can get Tampa PD with my Pro 164 and a radio shack 800 MHz rubber duck. I'm in Spring Hill.

Do you guys even pick anything up on the Toytown?
I have only the main Ridgecrest with 4 CC's programmed in and seem to be getting everything, but I could be wrong.

Yes, there is traffic there. It is mostly simulcast, but sometimes there were TGIDs that were only on toytown. I would have to check it to see what pops up on it these days.

Here’s better answer after a few minutes of scanning. These results are for a brief period of scanning this afternoon:

The following channels were on Toytown (860.7125), only and NOT on Ridgecrest (860.2375):
5312
6432
5344
5024
4960
These appear to be county services channels.

The following were simulcast on Toytown (860.7125) AND on Ridge (860.2375):
North, South, West dispatch, Echo-info, Foxtrot-info.
20384 SIU-1
28640 SL-4 encrypted
40960 sheriff Pasadena
17600 gulfport pd channel A
18880 st pete beach pd
USF PD-A

The following channels were ONLYon Ridgecrest (860.2375):
4448, 4512, 4480, 4544 these are county channels and SCADA channels

Treasure Island PD especially and sometimes the Events channels (like Event India 1 this evening) are usually only Toytown. I keep both sites programmed in so as not to miss anything. The events channels can be interesting sometimes.
