Here is what I have been able to determine from monitoring the system
the past few weeks regarding aircraft speed enforcement. Now this applies
only to how they are operating in southwestern Ohio (Cincinnati/Dayton metro area.
I don't know about the rest of Ohio.

When working with OSP units on the ground they use the TAC talkgroup of
the post whose area is being covered. For example working I-75 north of
I-275 in Butler County they would use POST 9 TAC (32048).

When OSP aircraft are working with other agencies they use ECOMM-8 (64016).
This week they were working speed enforcement with Cincinnati Police units
using ECOMM-8. Last week they were working with Hamilton County Sheriff units.
The ECOMM talkgroups may be set up by OSP Districts. All of southwestern Ohio
is in District 8, thus they use ECOMM-8 in favor of other ECOMM talkgroups.
Furthermore this suggests that other agencies aside from state agencies have the
ECOMM talkgroups programmed in their radios.

That is pretty much the same here in SE Ohio, that is TAC TG for working OSP . As for hearing them on another TG with other agencies in this area I have not heard ( I keep my MARCS bank in open mode ).

The OSP plane works Holmes Co. pretty hard lately with OSP Troopers and Sheriff's office. They use the TAC channel on MARCS and 155.370 for the Sheriff's cars. One time they were getting other traffic on 155.370 so they switched to MARCS 63184 - mutual aid with Holmes Co. and used that, but since that is their main dispatch freq. they don't like to use it for the air ops.

I have heard them at times use LEERN 154.935 when working with CPD and FCSO up on 270 at Sawmill. No telling were they'll be anymore.
