I was at the War Museum this summer and they were using 456.8625, same as St. Vincent's Hospital. War museum was not very busy though.

I have 451.85 logged as a studio link used during Canada Day a number of years ago

I was near the Shaw Centre downtown for a short while with HH scanner and 1" stubby antenna. Nothing much going
on inside I am sure, and almost nobody around, no problem keeping a good distance. Cap+ rest activity heard on 461.2875 and
462.8875 which had a range of less the 1km. At one point those two were clear and rest channel did not move to the
other two (451.5875 and 452.2625) licensed to the site, so at least one other frequency is involved.

Still unconfirmed info at this point at least until things get back to normal.

If anyone knows of Hytera XPT activity around Ottawa/Gatineau please pass on the info.
As I mentioned a while back, a local XPT channel showed up but went away.

Only activity found currently is east of Ottawa in Quebec run by an outfit called JALEC:

462.450 comes in weakly from Grenville (got to love ISED for renaming it to Greenville). Rarely,
454.450 from Covey Hill comes in.

BTW anyone know what the XPT Beacon data contains...repeater number etc.? 462.4500 shows 10FF
and the rest 0's.

So was the War Museum using simplex, or was it an inverted repeater (rare but does occur)? I should
have checked input frequencies.

Yes, it was simplex and not very busy. I was there for about three hours.
I used Close Call.

Another interesting multi-user frequency is 451.7875, seeing at least three different systems.

CAP+ DCC=1: activity in french; indicates 2nd frequency in use, seems to correlate to 463.0125 (another multi-user
frequency) by similar TGs/RIDs. Searched TAFL Ont/Que sides and found this, PF (Produits Forestier) Resolu Canada,
likely but unconfirmed:

CAP+ DCC=7: single frequency, quite strong, possibly CHEO.

DMR DCC=6: unknown.

Mileage will vary (literally and figuratively), depending on where listening. PF Resolu system lists approx. 2W TX ERP.

TAFL shows two other repeaters, 460.3375 and 461.7375 so probably worth someone checking their inputs 465.3375 and 466.7375.
Odd they are doing this but it must give coverage without using the output frequency.

As for some other museums I suspect being federal they are using frequencies other than listed in TAFL. Going
past Museum of Nature a while back, outside in parking lot they were using Kenwood UHF HTs (not VHF TAFL
seems to list). Now it may be`something else. Similar with Museum of Science and Tech, UHF HTs, but I hear
almost nothing on 467.8625 listed, does not jive with a busy (at the time) operation.

I have heard XPT on these frequencies, but I don't see any activity at this time.

Simplex DMR on 453.2625, low to moderate strength downtown Ottawa; combination of data and
voice (enc) TG=5. No idea who/what it is, nothing in TAFL for this area.
