Took a road trip over to Grove today but came in from South of jay . My report is Ottawa County SO is still on OKWIN not sure about Miami PD but Ottawa CO came in nice and clear signal then started receiving MHP through the Pineville site .

If Ottawa Co was supposed to switch there sure slow .

I couldn't find any press releases about this radio system. Something that costs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars generally requires discussion by county officials, vendors, local media, cities, towns, lawyers, etc....I couldn't find anything mentioning a new radio system.

Apparently the license has been approved by the FCC and Smith radio out of Arkansas is the vendor and supposedly has already been done . But I was driving east towards jay and received Ottawa Co fine on OKWIN . Maybe Smith radio services cut them a better deal ? .

Where are you getting your information? Who said this was already installed?

Mistyped my lord and have an attitude to go with it . Meant to type was not a done deal .

If you want to find out more about this system . Call Smith radio in Arkansas and ask or contact Ottawa Co .

I don't appreciate the attitude either .

I was able to get LCNs for the Grove site. 858.9750 isn't in use right now.

858.0500 LCN 21
857.0250 LCN 22
859.2750 LCN 23
856.0250 LCN 24
858.4750 LCN 25

The couple of hits I got on the Grove site.

TG 11 is some sort of test tone that intermittently broadcasts.
TG 13 Unsure but likely Miami PD based on the talker alias MIA_PD_M3 and MIA_PD_M4

I spent a few hours on the way and in Grove yesterday. The new NX Ottawa Co system is very active! In 4 hours recording I had 400+ calls. Lots more to figure out but so far:
- TG 8 - disp and c2c - more listening will determine if Miami only or County only. A few RIDs (UIDs to you Uniden people) show up here. RID 1 is "Central" = dispatch,
- TG 10 - "911" per users. This is the busiest TG with ~80% of the recordings. I suppose similar to OKWIN's old Moto system TG 28176 they called "Ottawa Co 911". When they transitioned to P25 OKWIN the TG 1761 (see how it is 28176./16?) was named Ottawa CO DIsp by RR, but I bet the users still called it "911." Several RIDs in the 1500 series show up here, and RID 1 "Central"
- TG 11 "Fire" per user. A few 15xx RIDs show up with a few others. Many seem to be patched/ported thru from the VHF fire freqs.
- TG 12 haven't figured out use yet

The following freqs were heard:
855.5000 RAN 1 Miami
856.0250 RAN 2 Grove
856.4750 RAN 1 Miami
857.0250 RAN 2 Grove
857.4750 RAN 1 Miami
858.2750 RAN 1 Miami
858.4750 RAN 2 Grove
859.2750 RAN 2 Grove

FWIW Grove still uses its own PD DMR S1 cc15 on 460.1125 and its various other UHF freqs. Gotta look closer to see where the "Ottawa County system Grove Site" is located.
I can't hear the system from my house, but while in Grove I heard a unit say "we are out at Mercy Joplin" so they can hit the Miami site from there....which us about a mile from my house.
🙁

RIDs:
RID- User
1 Central ~70% of recorded calls on this RID
1 Ported/patched
70 def a fire unit
560 "125 with unit 1"
834
1319
1501 <u322
1502
1503
1542 <u499
1555
1556 <u122
1559
1567
More fun to follow!!

That Grove site your referring to is on a hill on the main hwy to I believe wyandotte from Grove. Can't remember the hwy number. Matter of fact that is the same tower site that Delaware county sheriff's department is on they have 2 repeater's north and south. That same site is also connected to okwin for OHP.
