• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I went to Ottawa County recently and tried to monitor thier system. 0609 kept popping up but I could hear no traffic, it was just stuck. Anyone else hear OCS good? Thanks!

I hear Ottawa County, Oh. control channel nicely in Ann Arbor. One of my voice channels is on the same as their CC.
Fortunately, tropo conditions keep it a minimum in the afternoon during rush hour.

I'm here in Fremont "Sandusky County" and monitor it. I have no issues with it at all.

On an EDACS system, you need ALL the frequencies in order starting in channel 1 in a bank, not channel 0

They need to be plugged in to the radio in channel *01, *02, *03, *04, *05 in the order in which they are listed in the Database.
