Ottawa Fire - POCSAG message

So I usually have the OFS Paging POCSAG Decoder (Freq 155.610) running on my SDR and saw the following message sent out today.

"Reminder To Please Use Portable Radios Only During the Radio Encryption Process This WL Make Sure All Comms Is Received Volume On DVR's To Be Turned Down But Not Turned Off"

Looks like the fun is wrapping up soon....

Back to encryption again. I wonder if they will go back to non-encryption? They just cannot make up their minds. LOL.

I wonder if the phases mean different departments?

Pagers are not encrypted. Nor are they encryptable in any practical sense it is their choice if they stop using them. My guess is they will keep them in use.

I can confirm that pagers are still being used. I carry one.
