Looking for some help here. So I have a BCD325P2 and a BCD396XT, and I can't seem to receive I-Calls on both of them for this P25 system (as I know OC heavily uses I-Calls). According to my contacts who work for OC, half the fleet has been switched over, so I assume there should be a fair amount of I-Call activity by now.

I've done the standard programming in the "i0" as a stored channel (and it is not locked out, as obviously that would be a problem if it was), and before I programmed that in, it was in ID Search mode, and still doesn't seem to work. Am I missing anything / is anyone else having problems receiving I-Calls.

Also just to add to the OC stuff, the RID 258 is a patch ID between the old EDACS and new P25 talkgroups.

Last I checked there was tons of I-call activity on EDACS. If there is some P25 I-call activity (is that what they call it on P25?) I'm not aware of it. My impression is all OC's P25 activity right now is group calls (decimal 15xx groups).

Today I actually went to check this out further, and yeah nothing has changed from EDACS to P25, as OC still uses the I-Call function on P25. The odd thing was when my source radioed in, my scanner didn't even receive his I-Call. It seems to use RID's 19994-19997 for the I-Calls. Is it possible that the I-Calls are encrypted or something?

I was able to pull in a bit of the edacs system a few days ago and noticed i-calls in analog. Not digital.

Yeah though the I-Calls on the new radios are actually on the P25 system. As currently the double deckers and artics have converted to P25. The rest are still EDACS (which I can receive I-Calls on the EDACS no problem on my scanner).

I'm guessing I should put the wildcard in the new system as well then for i-Calls to show up there?

On P25 last night I heard techs busy updating bus radios, using TG 4. EDACS LIDs and new P25 RIDs are different.

I looked at the P25 system last night using Pro96Com, and did not see much in the way of Private Calls or at least any within the bus RID range. Activity has picked up on group calls in the 15xx range. I also noted EDACS TG 233 patched to one of the P25 groups, forgot which one. Techs were still busy. Other than that, activity was fairly uninteresting, mostly ParaTranspo .

Yes and also the control RIDs have changed on the P25. According to my contacts, the RIDs for control range from 19994-19997. So that may help with receiving private calls.

Come to think of it I did see a few Pvt Calls with RID 19999, slightly above the range so don't know (was not capturing audio).

EDACS control LIDs for OC were in the range 120-129 if I recall?

Yeah that's correct for the EDACS, and also my source just told me the OC control LIDS for P25 go up to at least 20000 now.

Most of the buses have been converted now, so there should be plenty of I-Call action, not sure why we don't seem to be receiving any of it.
