I was wondering if Kenwood was the only radio mfg. that offered the capability to have VHF & UHF units to be interfaced into a common control head. We just got a new vehicle in and it has no space for radio install to speak of. Our agency uses VHF, UHF, 800, and iDen radios. We would like to combine the vhf/uhf into 1 control head. I know Kenwood has one and years ago, a nearby PD had some old MASTRII's that were set up this way. Does Motorola (or MA COM) have anything like this now?

The vehicle in question is a Chev. Trailblazer and has the center console with parking brake, gear shifter, and rear AC control in it. Not as easy an install as our other vehicles have been.

The Motorola Spectra series is capable of two units on one control head with certain models. I have a uhf and a vhf pair of 110 watters on the hand held control head version. As with anything sporting that symbol that looks like a bat flying through a knot hole in an outhouse door, be prepared to pay handsomely for the privilege.
