Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone might know what to do here.

I am trying to reorg my xts3000 channel allocations and when I try to enter in the UHF CB frequencies above 477.0000 (Channel 24) the software wont allow it. It reverts back to the band limit minimum 403.0000.

I am using version 2 of the Windows CPS software and have read all the info on the batlabs website, not that it helped as the results I got were way different. Does anyone happen to know what to do here?..

I know with the DOS software all you had to do was hold the Shift Key down while entering the out of band frequency.

Appreciate any help.

Cheers
Phil

RSS R09.05.00 should still work with your radio as long as it hasn't been programmed with CPS R03.00.00 or newer, and it's far easier to hex edit the bandsplits in the old RSS. RSS R09.05.00 was released at the same time as CPS R02.05.00, so if that's what you're using you won't have to worry about not being able to use your existing CPS version in the future.

Hi srm9030,

my radio is programmed with CPS version 02.00.00

I have tried to use that HEX workshop and I have not been successfull..

I didnt think I would be able to go back to version 9 of the old DOS program?. I have RSS 09.01.00..

Cheers

If you have a really old computer (no faster than a 486DX/100), give RSS a try. That version will probably still read it.

Don't run the RSS under anything other than straight out DOS 6.22.

Na, I have an old 486 all setup for programming the old DOS stuff.

It will read the radio but once it goes to verify the Codeplug you get the issue of "Codeplug to new" message..

Oh well..

Thanks for the info anyway..

Hi to the group,

I would just like to thank MattSR and srm9030 for their support with this thread topic.

I have now managed to change the band limits of the software allowing programming for my needs.

A big thanks guys.

Cheers
Phil
