I have had my PRO-2066 for about three years. Managed to spill a drink on the faceplate.I thought WTH, but then I read the fine print in the manual: "Do NOT introduce alcoholic beverages to the PRO-2066 innards."

Since when is that a thing?

So... I am looking for something as small (or smaller) for my truck. Trunking type, not to difficult to set-up.

Please share any thoughts. hic*

Thanks,

Ed

If you liked the 2066 and it received everything you wanted, why not just buy another one?

They are all over Ebay and are plenty cheap.

And the money you save over buying a new digital unit could get you a case or two of your favorite beverages.

Possibly because the HomePatrol-2 and the BCD436HP receive things that the PRO-2066 cannot, or because newer scanners have more memory and other features (like GPS-based mobile scanning) the PRO-2006 does not have?

The following questions will help determine what might best fit your needs.
1. What area do you live in (country, state, county or city)?
2. What types of radio services do you like to listen to (public safety, business, ham radio, etc.)?
3. How much are you willing to spend?
