Oxford Alabama has a pending application for four new 700 MHz Conventional Repeater Frequencies. One frequency is already licensed.
Oxford Police, Fire, EMS & Public Works are using the 800 MHz ARCS trunked system.
Oxford Police Dispatch is encrypted.
Current Police & Fire VHF analog frequencies are still wideband..
It appears they may be changing over to 700 MHz soon instead of narrow banding the old VHF analog freq.’s.
I know the FD was using their old VHF freq. for paging only, not sure if any of the other city analog freq.'s are still active or not.
Any ideas on what these new 700 MHz frequencies will be used for?
Any other active.Oxford frequencies still in use? I know there used to be quite a bit of things to listen to in Oxford.
