And I thought navigating the Obamacare website was a challenge. Oy, I couldn't have been more wrong. Let me explain....

I've just finished up a move, and have yet to find where I put all my radio accessories, especially the cables. I wanted to program a couple new repeater freqs into my UV-5R (2mtr/220mhz model), but couldn't find the box the cable was in, so I decided to try programming it by hand. Hadn't done it before (have always used software), so I went in search of manual programming instructions. Finally found instructions I could actually understand on the Miklor site (what a great resource that site is) so I got down to it.

Even though the instructions were "easy" to understand, it was still a PITA to enter in two simple frequencies. When I got done, it felt like I had gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson LOL. Hopefully I'll never have to do that again, although it will be good knowledge to have for out in the field (unless I forget everything I just did LOL).

Anyway, I thought it'd be interesting to hear other folk's experiences with manual programming of a Baofeng or a Wouxun radio.

Yeah, I saw a couple of those threads, but I thought it would be nice to get some fresh responses. Maybe from folks who just recently purchased a radio.
