Hey guys, I heard theres a way to put a P25 conventional freq into a system to see the I.D's as they talk. A form of trunk? Or P25 trick, dont know.. Does anyone?

Are talking about radio Id's? Just select that option on, if you use win500 it's a check box on the extended settings page.

I may be mistaken, but it only works on the Uniden Scanners.
I have tried it, and it doesn't work, at least for me it didn't.

Ah, ok... I put 2 active entities in p25 auto. No takers.. Oh well, I said it before-say it again. Squash the R.S 106 AND UNIDEN 396XT together, make the perfect scanner. Thanks guys. If we are wrong, please tell us.. 106 is still my flavorite scanner..

I'm new here so take it for what it's worth. On a BCD396XT you can set it for either ID scan or ID search. ID Scan will SCAN only the ID/talkgroup that you have entered. ID Search will search (duh) all ID's on the system and display them as ID xxxx (whereas x actually means something)

I'm not sure what I did, But I am getting the I.D's from the system I am hearing. Portsmouth N.H... I am seeing the I.D:1... Nac on search--it shows up waiting to be stored.. Heres what I did..
MENU
PROGRAM SYSTEM---PUSH
NEW SYSTEM---PUSH
SELECT P25
PUSH-1 FREQ TRUNK--CONFIRM
EDIT SYSTEM- OPTION --PUSH
I/D SEARCH / SCAN---PUSH
SET TO SEARCH HIT MENU TO GO BACK
EDIT SITE--PUSH
NEW SITE---PUSH
SET THE QUICK KEY TO YOUR LIKING
GO TO SET FREQUENCIES
ENTER FREQUENCY
The rest is fine tuning.
Delay, hold time
OH, under the system option-scroll to AUDIO AGC. Push analog to turn off, and digital ON..
i GOTTA SPLIT, BUT THATS WHAT i DID.

Everything got moved..My fault.. I just tried that I.D trick with the pro 106 and bcd396xt.. I started in radio shack room, went to the Uniden room with the results... Wow, thats how much fun I had programming that--how much fun am I gonna have when I decide to install the pro 106 -tap-...
