P25 police encryption

Can someone confirm that the encryption is active in Snohomish County Wa , I sold my SDS200 as they said May 6 all analog and digital civilian police scanners are Silent. Also is Fire / emergency active still?

Yes. The new SNO911 radio system flipped on yesterday.
As of right now. Police / Law related is all encrypted. And will stay that way.
Fire / EMS is not encrypted and can be monitored with a P25 Phase 2 supported device.

Thanks , I really liked my SDS200 scanner but not as a paper weight. I assume there is a way to hear Fire/ ems in realtime on the computer ?

Yup it sure looks that way. My radio went silent about a week ago. Still wondering if WSP went to P25 encrypt also. We all knew this was coming. Just didn't know when. You figure that when its all available on the internet, the police get tired of it and want their own private comms. Guess I'll put my PRO 106 on eBay...

Really sucks losing that cool sds200 scanner but could had sold it for less on fees with eBay . I sold it and live PD is all I got now , everything else reported is as need to know or day after reports.

Was it a SDS200 model. I loved mine until they encrypted it. WA state went silent less fire/emergency and told thats next.
