Hi All

I was up at the old libby airport area with my BCT15 searching for freq's and had the scanner set for control channel only search and found 154.6500 which is an PSSB trunked system on pinkham mountain by eureka.
The scanner said it was an LTR system and found a TGID of 0-02-140 on the display, hmmm. I know that system is P25. Is the BCT15 mistaking that P25 system as an LTR system? Weird! The signal is not constant like a P25 control channel. There are silent parts to it like what a LTR system does. I think that's why the radio thinks it's an LTR system. ha!

PSSB does not own the P25 system in Montana. It's a joint effort by the counties and other agencies that use the system. PSSB helps with the coordination of frequencies, training and some of the paperwork, but they do not own the equipment.

Let's not start rumors!! :)

Talkgroup 2140 doesn't exist on the system. All of the talkgroup ID's in smart zone trunking systems are odd numbers. I'm not sure if there is a commercial LTR system on Pinkham or not.
