I was under the impression if a trunked system like, say, Starcom or the Colorado DTRS rebands, ono modification for the scanner is necessary because it reads the control channel. I use a Bearcat 396T and a GRE PSR 600 that I will be packing in the car next year to take out west, so I need to know. Thanks!

Please clarify the word ono should be "no" or "one".

I don't think a Hawaiian fish would be involved in the mod, no matter how good a taco it makes.

If you're referring to the Ono modification that the Beatles attempted in the late 60s, then it will probably lead to the breakup of your radio, although various components of it may go on to have separate but useful functions of their own.

On Uniden models, for P25 systems, you only need to program in the new frequencies. Ono other changes are needed.
