Paul1 here my psr500 is stalling on the p25 system in the ohio county west virginis area . I think the scanner is having triuble determining which tower to use before providing modulation, the signal meter shows 5 bars and the id shows that there is a communication of some nature going on however the radio hangs until the conversation ends and then mooves on to the scan mode before releasing any modulation. I am of the belief that there is an adjustment somewhere in the expert settings to help cure this amality . any ideas aneyone?

thanks Paul1

Hello paul1,

Did you try and program the system with the NAC code only? I have the same proplem as you and programing it with NAC codes did help in my case.

Where do you input a NAC for a P25 trunked system?

You would put the frequencies and NAC codes under a CONV Object not a TSYS object
and there you can enter the P25 NAC code for your system.

I rather program the system as TSYS objects, but one system on the Island just stalls as
when programmed as a TSYS object and found I could track it with NAC codes and no stalling when
programmed as a CONV object
Hope it works for you.

You can also play around with Global ATT & ATT settings if you have extreme traffic on the system it
will cut out most unwanted traffic works for me anyway but will not pick up any weak signals on the system when Global ATT & ATT are turned on.
