Hi All,

I am new to the SDR space and am messing around with an RTL-SDR v3 from RTL-SDR.com. I live in Ohio where we have the MARCS-IP system. I have found countless tutorials on the internet that describe how to setup Unitrunker with two dongles, however i am trying to see what I can do with one. I have been following the tutorial: https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-tutorial-following-trunked-radio-unitrunker/ section "Monitoring with only One Dongle"

One site that I can pickup has ~1.6 mHz between the highest and lowest frequencies. When setup with this site I can see the control data coming in and whenever a call comes over I can hear it via DSD+.

Another site in my area has ~87mHz between the control channel and the voice channels. Since my SDR does not have that much bandwidth (I think that is the correct term?) I can see the control data, but I cannot tune the voice channels. Is it possible to setup Unitrunker to jump to an alternative channel when a voice call comes through? Obviously this is going to make priorities impossible and you wont see any control traffic until that call is complete, but is this possible to do with Unitrunker?

Thanks,
Brennan

Op25 can tune an entire P25 system with a single dongle, but the software runs under Linux so for a Windows x64 system you either have to dual boot or run a virtual manager such as vmworks or virtualbox.

Not possible with unitrunker. You'll need a second dongle.

OP25 is thebest game for Single Dongle, the installation is way easier than it has been in the past, I had it up and running in 30 minutes (That includes installing Linux in Dual boot mode)
