Another video of some progress. The video starts with AM demod and ACARS decode, then FM analog demod with NOAA, then faster scanning of several different systems, and finishes with an improved FM analog demod with a tone-out. Note the new quick-buttons for demod/decode modes. Still need to get trunked systems working with the fast scan and a way to edit the channel configurations.

Any thought as to when these units will be again available for purchase? I've been checking here and there for about a year

Thank you for bringing this up! I've changed the web site to only show the P25RX-II prepay with discount option for now. I think the other options showing out-of-stock were causing confusion.

I used the pre-pay option and got mine within the hour they said it would arrive! I'm sure they can't guarantee that kind of accuracy on every order, and much depends on the USPS, but mine came on the day BTT said it would and within an hour of the USPS target delivery time.

Todd, if you're dropping these sneak peeks as a way of building hype, it's working...
I'm posting the videos to let everyone know that I'm still working on it! I know it has been a long time since a release compared to usual. As soon as it is usable, I will get an experimental release up on the web site.

Yes, still making progress. I've been hunting for an elusive bug that caused a lockup for days. Finally got that fixed yesterday. I'll post another video soon. There is a new real-time auto--detect for LSM/CQPSK for the P25 mode. Trunked P25 channels can be scanned along with non-trunked modes. There will be a signal search function in the next release. I should be able to demonstrate that soon.

So, will there be any updated software for the original P25RX? I presume this new software will only work with the P25RX-II?

Short answer. The plan is to update the P25RX as well. This update is going to be a very large change. I do not want to recreate it all again for the P25RX as I have been doing up to now. My plan is this: After the new code is released for the P25RX-II and the changes/fixes have settled, I will start with that software/firmware and only make the changes necessary to make it work with the P25RX. I think I can make this work now that the code has been reorganized from the last big update. Most likely, the performance for scanning/searching will not be as good on the original model (it will be slower). There may be other issues. I can't say for sure until I get to it.

I know there are a few of you patiently waiting for the next release. I'm going to post one more demonstration video before the release is ready. This video starts with scanning and then a demonstration of the new signal search feature. As you can see, it is getting very close to something usable now. I had to cut part of the video to make it less than 15 minutes. If any of you know what the "Very Low Data Rate" signal is, let me know. I'm curious what that is.
