Thank you. I think maybe this is due to a different issue related to the first time it failed (possibly stored a bad software config due to no audio devices available). Would you mind giving 2020-11-30_2153 a try?

-edit: if this doesn't work, I will work on adding some logging output in the audio section to aid in debugging.

It's still the same thing. I am using Windows 10.
What should the display show? Can you post a screenshot of what I should see? I do have virtual cables that I used for RTL at one time. I don't want you to chase your tail if it's something weird on my end.
This is what I have installed VB Audio Cable. It was used to link multiple RTL SDR sticks for decoding software. Maybe the other people having trouble have the same thing going on. All other audio works.
Thanks for looking into this.

It's past my bedtime but gave it a try (11-30_2153) and the PC audio is still off. My Java version:
java -version
java version "1.8.0_271"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_271-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.271-b09, mixed mode)

OK, a couple things: the first time I ran it, I got a quick message that it couldn't find the device serial number, then the application closed. The second time, I got some java exceptions (see screenshot 1). I get those exceptions each time I run the application, but when I close the window, the application runs fine.

Finally:

Success! With 12-01_0735, I can see all of the audio devices available. When I select number 08 on my list (see second screenshot), I get audio!

Thanks!

New testing version available 2020-12-01_0800. This should get rid of the exceptions shown in the first image. Should also list Playback devices only (on Windows OS), although there are now some untested changes.

Hi,
The exceptions are gone, but no audio now. I can select the PC Speakers (see image), but no audio out of my PC.
Thanks,

Exactly same results with Java exceptions, PC audio working again. Thanks for all your hard work! (12-01 0735)

Version 2020-12-01_0820 is back to listing all available devices again. (Java exceptions should be gone).

btt: I am still having trouble with the "Unknown Talkgroup" issue on DMR. I'm using version 0820 now, but the issue has always been present. Sometimes the program will run for hours with no issues. Other times, the program will start out with the "Unknown Talkgroup" message, but will then begin displaying the correct alias after a few minutes. The "Unknown Talkgroup" appears under the "talk Group Log" tab, and at the bottom of the screen next to the RF Sig level.

Today it was running for hours with no issues. Then, I did an "Export TGP/CSV". I then used Excel to edit and sort the list, I then did an "Import CSV". At that point, the software began logging all talkgroups as "Unknown Talkgroup", as if they were new talkgroups, adding them to the Talkgroup Editor, even though they were already in the list with the alias that I had assigned. This issue is not observed with P25 systems.

Also, I am confused with why, when exporting, it creates two files, a .CSV and a .TGP file. The .CSV file is the one I edited and then imported.

I searched though the manual... any chance it will connect to more than one BT device? Envisioning a BT speaker in our kitchen and one in the garage in addition to feeding my BCFY stream. If not, maybe I could just do the stream and figure out a way to listen to that.

I have downloaded 2020-11 0307 and it runs for approximately two minutes and then locks up. An error message pops up with “Data protector blocked a suspicious action by BTConfig 2020-11-29 0307.exe”. I have deleted, did a laptop shutdown, reinstalled 0307 but I get the same results. I am using windows 10. I am now running 2020-11-15 0633 with no issues.....
