The answer to your question is "Yes" but it's not super clear how based on the UI if your familiar with "normal" scanners. If you go to the P25RX Configuration tab you will see an option to "Enable Roaming On Loss Of Signal". Make sure that is checked. Then, you will also see a setting for "Shuffle Control Channels After [your choice of number of seconds here] Seconds Of Silence (0 to disable)". Set this to whatever you want greater than 0 - I have mine normally set at 7 seconds.The Rx looks very promising. It is not clear to me if it will "scan" between two different trunk systems or if it just will tune one at a time. It seems to me the later. Can anyone help clear that up?

What this will do is, IF you have more than one control channel listed in the "Search DB For Control Channels" settings tab it will normally choose the one you have set as the "Primary" but, if that system is quiet for the number of seconds you have chosen in the setting I outlined above it will switch to the next CC you have listed. I only have two, currently, and they are both on the same system but on different sites. I do this because I can hear both sites and not all talk groups I am interested in are normally carried on the one nearest me. So, for my setup, if the "Primary" is quiet for 7 consecutive seconds then it will switch to the other CC which is for the adjacent site and scan that one for seven seconds unless a call comes through on that system wherein the clock will reset, etc. For me, this works well and I hear a LOT of traffic on both sites.
I do wish it were a little more "normal" and controllable in arrangement such that I could set separate systems with their associated sites and set up each site in each system with "Primary" and "Alternate" CC's but I understand that this is still a work in progress and that the developer is not super familiar with hobby consumer class scanner equipment and how they are operationally arranged. For me, crude though the current setup may be, it works very well and I can't argue with the results! These kind of details are operational software in nature and can be fixed in time fairly easily relative to the actual RF performance and other details that are currently at a higher priority for attention.
That said, I have also put in CC's for completely different systems in the CC list and it has worked fine. You just can't separate systems into separate categories, zones, or scan lists yet. So CC's, regardless of which system or site they belong to, are currently all "lumped together" in one list and will be sequentially (sort of) scanned through depending on how you have setup the "Shuffle Control Channels After..." setting.
I guess you can think of it as currently dependent on system "Dwell Time" but slaved to activity level depending on how long you want the "no activity" period before moving on to last.
What I'd like to see as a major added feature is some way to select and prioritize SYSTEMS by using the SysID and maybe the WACN and NAC (configurable by user) so that I could easily switch between systems in a controllable and predictable manner rather than depend solely on RSSI level and seconds of silence. Something like having the ability to check and uncheck systems maybe in the Control Channels setup tab based on the SysID and set priority levels for those systems. That would, by itself, be a huge benefit for me and be an improvement over most traditional consumer level scanners (which tend not to use the SysID usually and only rely on separate scan lists and RSSI levels to differentiate the systems).

That makes no sense... if you are scanning ANY talkgroup then you are already scanning frequencies. Perhaps you just aren't that familiar with how trunked systems work, but things are scanned at the talkgroup level, not by frequency.

I disagree, but that's OK. Besides, I'll happily pay for that feature to be added, once @btt has his to-do list stabilized - that is, if he's interested. If you are OK to discuss it @btt, please let me know.It sounds to me what you are looking for is activity on a certain single group to activate scanning of a preprogrammed set of talkgroups. If so I would think that would be a very limited use option for the majority of users.
